If you’re anything like us, you can spend hours mindlessly scrolling through TikTok and therefore know of the city’s hottest hidden gem: Sauce.
@hotspotdxb Sauce Diner in Al Habtoor city is a must try ##fyp##foryoupage##foryou##dubai##food##foodtiktok##dxb##hotspotdxb##dubaifood##dxblife

The first diner-style eatery to open in Dubai, it’s located at Al Habtoor City and reminiscent of the 1950s – we’re talking retro vibes and simpler times. You’ll find Sauce-branded burgers and brightly coloured interiors that harken back to the days of Elvis. Even the waitress uniforms are a playful nod to the ’50s.
Walking into Sauce is like taking a time machine thanks to the neon signage, black-and-white zigzag floors, booth seating, and décor accents that will have you reaching for your roller skates. And in keeping with the diner’s name, there are an impressive 20 (yes, 20) homemade saucy sauces to choose from – some with a fun local twist, too.
As for the menu? With dishes like the following, it will have even the hungriest Peggy Sue say, “Gee whiz.”
- Signature Wagyu Beef Burger: Wagyu, crispy bacon ham, crispy breaded onion ring, pickled cucumber, caramelised tomato, sliced cheddar, creamy mayo. Served with choice of fries or house salad.
- DXB Hotdog: Choice of beef or chicken hotdog, potato roll bun, fried onion, garlic sauce, tahini sauce with harissa ketchup. Served with choice of fries.
- Blue Cheese Slider: Australian Wagyu, potato bun, lettuce, caramelised onion, tomato chutney, crispy fried onion with blue cheese mayo. Served with choice of fries or house salad.
Sauce might just be the definitive antidote to a time when words like ‘pandemic’ and ‘vaccination’ dominate our vernacular – so take us back to the 1950s already!
