How The UAE Hairdressing Community Is Joining Hands To Help Rebuild Beirut….

Hair in need of some attention? There’s never been a better time to get a long-overdue trim.

Following the devastating explosions in Beirut on August 4, Between August 28 and 31, an array of award-winning hairstylists from salons across the UAE will be offering their time and cutting talents for free, with all proceeds, including additional donations, going directly to the Lebanese Red Cross via the Emirates Red Crescent, to help in the rebuilding of Beirut.

Coordinating the event is L’Oreal International Ambassador, Natalie Kasses. “As we have all looked on helplessly and had so many clients sitting in our chairs sharing the heartbreaking experiences of their family and friends, we wanted to help. The initiative grew from a community desire to take action and help the people of Beirut during this time of terrible hardship.”

The stylists will be working from the L’Oreal Academy and the EIDEAL Academy, for whom this is a particularly poignant venture. “The EIDEAL HQ in Beirut was completely decimated by the explosion, but thankfully all of our colleagues, families and friends escaped safely,” says Haysam Eid, Managing Director of EIDEAL. “But we have total empathy for the people of Beirut who lost not only their businesses and homes but their loved ones too. We really wanted to do something to demonstrate our support, and show that our thoughts and prayers are with them at this difficult time.”

A wash/cut/blow dry with any stylist is priced at AED315, while a wash and blow-dry are priced at AED105.
