Every fashion expert will tell you that the key to creating a successful wardrobe is to ensure that you have great foundation pieces in place – and MatchesFashion’s Global Fashion Officer, Natalie Kingham, couldn’t agree more.
Launched this week, the global luxury shopping destination’s new Wardrobe Foundations Edit comprises a dedicated curation of essentials for your everyday uniform focusing on form, function and silhouette.
Spread across 12 categories in both womenswear and menswear, the edit will include over 250 pieces from more than 60 established and emerging designers, will be consistently available to cater for recurrent global demand and boasts a broad price range to appeal to a variety of customer budgets.
‘I wanted to ensure that we had a place on site where you could find the best curation of all those items that every customer should own: the perfect white shirt, the perfect black sweater and so on,’ explained Natalie of the new edit. ‘Wardrobe Foundations is a shortcut for our customers to access all of this, and we have also ensured that we have a broad range of price points: white T-shirts from Raey to The Row, sweaters from Another Tomorrow to Extreme Cashmere. We will also make sure that these beautiful and practical pieces are always available on site.’
The 12-category edit includes 8 categories across both men and women’s collections: The jeans, the T-shirt, the shirt, the trench, the knit, the sweatshirt, the suit and the blazer, with the slip dress, the briefs, the legging and the shirt dress completing the womenswear offering, and the sneakers, the jacket, the trouser and the bag topping off the menswear line.
