FRIDAY JANUARY 21
HAVE A MAGICAL MOMENT AT BAB AL SHAMS
There’s nothing like sneaking off early from work on a Thursday for a weekend getaway, and this is a winter staycay offer you definitely shouldn’t miss out on. Luxury desert resort and spa Bab Al Sham’s Magic 21 deal offers amazing value for money at one of the Emirates most exclusive desert destinations, with a one night stay for two adults in a superior room, dinner at the newly reopened Al Hadheerah restaurant, breakfast at Al Forsan and two hours of complimentary house beverages on the Al Sarab Rooftop Lounge at sunset for just AED2,021. What a way to welcome in the weekend!
For reservations, email BAS.Reservations@meydanhotels.com or call 04-3813231.

FRIDAY JANUARY 22
PORTUGUESE PERFECTION AT TASCA’S
Daydreaming of a city break to Lisbon, or a sun-soaked vacay to the Algarve? While travel to the beautiful hotspots of Portugal may not be possible right now, we’ll be indulging our daydreams with a delicious brunch at our favourite Portuguese restaurant, Tasca’s, instead.

Offering stunning views over the Dubai skyline on one side and Mandarin Oriental Jumeira Dubai’s spectacular infinity pool and the ocean beyond, acclaimed Portuguese Chef José Avillez’s innovative taster menu includes a divine combination of Portuguese dishes, from traditional salads to the impossibly delish grilled veal chorizo and breadcrumbs. All topped off with an array of Tasca’s signature drinks and really great music, this brunch is all about holiday vibes amazing Fridays are made of. From AED350 per person for soft drinks at AED450 for house drinks.

SATURDAY JANUARY 22
A VERY ITALIAN VEGANUARY
If you’re one of many sticking to a new vegan diet this month, why not make Saturday plant-based pizza day? Dubai-based vegan entrepreneur and recipe developer Kamilla Omarzay has teamed up with BICE Hilton Dubai Jumeirah’s Head Chef Davide Gardini to create sIx, exclusive 100 percent vegan pizzas to celebrate Veganuary. And these are definitely pizzas worth celebrating. Available at the renowned Italian dining venue until January 31, after sampling all six of the exclusive options, we’re obsessed with Trofulicious, made with BICE’S legendary homemade pizza dough, cream of pumpkin base, roasted tofu, grilled eggplant, and black truffle. And if that’s not enough pizza for one day, how about finishing off your pizza main course with pizza for pudding? BICE’s own version of Nutella pizza, named Basically Nut is the yummiest (but agreeably, totally the weirdest!) thing we’ve eaten in ages. For reservations, call 04 318 2319, or email Restaurant.JBR@hilton.com
