MONDAY, FEBRUARY 8

BREAKFAST AT SAYA BRASSERIE

One of the most ridiculously instagrammable venues in the city, if you want to start your day in a visual wonderland, treat yourself to something from the new all-day breakfast menu at Saya Brasserie. Just opened at Al Wasl 51, space is split into two very different zones – one ultra-pink paradise of blooming florals, neon lights, and plush velvet furnishings, the other, a stunning, monochrome 2D room with hand-sketched, locally-inspired artworks, vast murals, paper accessories, and a striking faux-fireplace. If you can take your eyes off the decor, the food is just as glorious to look at and utterly scrumptious – the Signature Smashed Avo is our current brekkie obsession we could genuinely eat all day.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 9

SUNDOWNERS AT SENOR PICO

Celebrate making it through hump day with a brilliant sundowners deal at Senor Pico at West Beach, Palm Jumeirah. From 5pm-7pm, Sunday to Wednesday, there’s 50 percent off selected food and drinks at this glorious, rainbow-painted beachside bolthole With amazing sunset views of Dubai Marina, delish Californian/Mexican cuisine and drinks and the all-important uplifting soundtrack, it’s a midweek-must guaranteed to lift your spirits.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 10

EXPLORE RAS AL KHAIMAH FINE ARTS FESTIVAL

Fancy a cultural start to the weekend? Running from now until April 3, the Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival is a stunning outdoor exhibition of art, photography and sculpture that simply cannot be missed. Taking place at the historic Al Jazirah Al Hamra Heritage Village along with two new mini satellite locations – the viewing platform at the UAE’s highest peak, Jebel Jais, and Al Marjan Island’s Open Park – the 9th edition of the totally free to attend, annual festival showcases the artworks of a diverse mix of more than 130 artists from 49 countries alongside a programme of indoor and outdoor film screenings, workshops and tours. With all works this year curated around the theme of Hope, the festival looks to the past and explores the future through the lens of contemporary art at a time when hope is central to our daily lives, and asks the question: How can hope inspire art, and art inspire hope? A brilliant reason to hit the road and head for a weekend in Ras Al Khaimah, for more information, visit rakfinearts.ae
