Weekly Planner: What’s on the Agenda for April 25-28

Food is more fine art in the week ahead.

SUNDAY, APRIL 25

If you don’t want the weekend to end, here’s a great reason to extend it. Running from now until May 12, Dukes The Palm’s Ramadan Staycation Package starts at AED 1,990 for a two-night stay for two people, with access to all amenities and activities, including the hotel’s glorious private beach, infinity pool, water sports, and kids club. The exclusive package also includes iftar at Great British Restaurant or Khyber, and a relaxed suhoor to be enjoyed in the comfort of your room.

E-mail [email protected] to book.

MONDAY, APRIL 26

Celebrate the start of the week in style with an elegant afternoon tea in the Lobby Lounge at The Ritz Carlton DIFC, featuring a wide variety of specialty tea blends along with a selection of luxurious sweet and savoury treats for just AED 169. And if you feel like upgrading this exquisite tea experience, add a glass of fizz for an additional fee.

With afternoon tea available daily from 8am to 6pm, we’re loving the fact you can indulge in almost every time zone on the planet, should you so wish!

TUESDAY, APRIL 27

April sees a star cast of experts in art, fitness, nutrition, and more taking part in healthy eating hub Flow’s latest Flow Talks Series. Taking place live on Flow’s Instagram account every Tuesday at 4pm until May 11, Flow Talks Series – The Ramadan Edition features creative makeup artist Nadine Hossam with a live Ramadan makeup tutorial this week, followed by UAE-based artist Mona Fares giving a masterclass in tie-dying clothing at home on May 4. The series will conclude on May 11 with yogi and fitness instructor Nancy Zabneh highlighting the benefits of yoga during the holy month of Ramadan.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 28

Every Wednesday, between April 21 and May 5 from 7pm-10pm, Alserkal Avenue celebrates the holy month with #ThisIsNotABuffet, a unique and expertly curated programme centered around mindfulness, giving, and community care.

From slow tours of art exhibitions, contemporary interpretations of traditional cuisine, storytelling, and cultural experiences that embrace sustainability, balance, and neighbourliness to community markets, zero-waste iftars, and charity collaborations, #ThisIsNotABuffet embodies the Ramadan spirit of taking it slow, being grounded, and being kinder to ourselves and each other.
