Weekly Planner: What’s on the Agenda for May 16-22

Seven days of sun, fun and fabulous beauty.

Love pizza? Every Sunday at La Strega, Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa, you can tuck into unlimited pizza for just AED79 per person. It runs from 6pm until midnight, accented by stunning views of the hotel’s landscaped gardens, a wood-fired pizza oven, and a cosy atmosphere. We’ll be indulging our wanderlust for Italy here with a slice (or six) of Napoli’s finest export.

Call 04 316 5550 for reservations or visit www.lastrega-dubai.com.

The Comedy Bizarre is bringing an incredible showcase of international comedians to Dubai’s Madinat Jumeirah Amphitheatre this week for a unique comedy-club experience. Running until May 22, the likes of Dean Edwards, Tony Woods, Wil Sylvince, Reem Edan, Eman Morgan, and Nina Kharoufeh will be performing for a great night out that’s guaranteed to beat the Monday blues.

Tickets start from AED 160.

Cult beauty brand MONDAY Haircare will be hitting Dubai’s most iconic beach clubs this week in its unmissable pink double decker bus on a beautifying tour of the city. Giving away free goodies and offering ladies the chance to try out its free braid bar experience during its Dubai debut, the New Zealand-born brand kicks off its three-day big bus tour this Tuesday at Zero Gravity before making its way to Bla Bla on Wednesday, with a final stop at W Dubai’s Wet Deck next Sunday.

For a midweek pick-me-up, we’ll be heading to one of The Palm Jumeirah’s best-loved beach haunts for a well-earned spot of lazing around in the sunshine. Wednesday is Ladies Day at Riva Beach Club, where ladies can enjoy full beach and pool access plus one starter from a selected menu from 10am-5pm for just AED 55. Pass the suntan lotion!

The UAE’s first focacceria – La Fabbrica Italiana – has just launched Pranzo, its first lunch menu. Introduced last Thursday in celebration of Eid al-Fitr and now a permanent fixture on the dine-in menu, Pranza offers a selection of delicious meal bundles ranging in price from AED 45 to 85, featuring delicious salads, its signature fresh focaccia, and tiramisu made with a secret recipe. Yum!
