A classic smoky eye is a Friday night go-to and celebrity favourite – just ask gorgeous Mila Kunis! The look may look complicated but don’t feel intimidated. It all comes down to blending, blending, blending.
Step 1: Apply eyeshadow primer to help the colour grip and last.
Step 2: Choose three colors from your eyeshadow palette to create your smoky eye – a light, medium and dark tone. Apply the lightest shade or a neutral colour over the entire eyelid and up to the browbone. This will form the base colour.
Step 3: Apply the middle shade in the crease. This is the transition shade to ensure the darkest shade blended. Apply the eyeshadow in small, circular motions from the outside in to blend it properly.
Step 4: Using a long-bristled brush, apply the darkest shade across the eyelid.
Step 5: Apply eyeliner to the top and bottom lash line.
Step 6: Using a small brush or cotton bud, smudge the darkest shade eyeshadow over the eyeliner to create a smoky look.
Step 7: Apply a few layers of mascara and finish the look with a light peach or nude lip colour.
