6 Ways to Style 3 Dresses

Dressing up or dressing down…whichever dress you choose, Splash has an on-trend style for you – and we show you how to wear it both ways.

DRESS 1: The White Midi Dress

A colour-block white dress is a wardrobe staple as versatile as a white shirt. The zip and drawstring details on this one make it modern, while the pleats keep it beautifully feminine.

Dress up with: Swap out your LBD for an LWD and dress it up with black fringed shoe booties, a shiny silver handbag and tasseled earrings.

Dress down with: White dress, white sneakers! This shimmer pair will make sure you don’t look like a tennis player, while square-frame sunnies give a laid-back – and seriously trendy – 70s vibe. Statement pearl earrings and an animal-print bumbag complete this cool daytime look.

DRESS 2: The Polka Dot Dress

Polka dots are an easy, stylish way to wear prints – plus they play really well with other prints, if you want to interject some fun into your look. This midi is neutral enough to be versatile, yet interesting enough to stand on its own. Win-win!

Dress up with: Classic black heels and tassel earrings let the dress shine without overpowering it. Add dainty stackable rings for a touch of sparkle. Pick up on the red accents with a bright red velvet clutch and you’re set for a night on the town!

Dress down with: For daytime, let the dress do the talking by pairing it with embroidered babouches and a snakeskin bag – the way to wear different prints and patterns together is by not letting them compete, but to let one dominate and the rest complement. Black hoops and sunglasses finish the look.

DRESS 3: The Checked Mini

Structured sleeves are one of SS19’s biggest trends – and this little checked number ticks all the boxes. The neutral check pattern and flattering shape take it from the boardroom to lunch to ladies’ night, making this little dress a perfect all-rounder.

Dress up with: A sensational pair of black and gold ankle-wrap heels take this dress from the office to the club, with a slinky clutch slung over your shoulder. Dangling sunburst earrings and stacked rings provide the bling.

Dress down with: For an elegant daytime look, few things can beat a pair of classic black pumps. A sophisticated silver cuff draws attention to the sleeves, with subtle studs all the attention your ears need. Finish the look with a ladylike, boxy bag.
